I’ve been spending the last year trying to get my skin under control. It has been a hard journey for me, why? Because this was something new to me. I had no idea where to start and wanted it gone right away. I have some tips and some products that have worked for. I even made my own instructions on how to apply and how often you should apply them.  Right now I’m in the place to share these tips, because I’ve seen a change in my skin. And when I learn and win at something, I can’t wait to share how. So below I will show you each step I use.

Cleansers:

The cleansers I’ve been using has helped with my oily skin and keeping it balanced. I suffer from oily and acne prone skin since the last year. I finally found the right products for me after spending a lot of money and having bad reactions. Before this ordeal I used drugstore facial cleansers. But now it doesn’t work for me.

Urban Skin Rx Eventone Cleansing Bar: I use this in my daily (daytime skin routine) it has helped even out my hyperpigmentation and it has helped with my oily skin. To be honest I use to use this bar day and night until my acne got under control. Once it got under control I’ve been able to switch out what cleansers I want to use on a daily basis.

Bask & Bloom Purifying Cleanser: is another daytime staple. I feel like it really cleanses my face. After using it I literally feel like there’s no dirt on my face. I tend to use it at least two times a week or more.

Pure Tropix Purifying Honey Oil Cleanser: Has been the cleanser I decided to use at night time. After wearing make up the whole day or sweating all day. This cleanser lifts all the impurities from my pores, because of the bentonite clay ingredient. The honey helps keep my skin moisturized. I speak more in depth about all these cleanser in a later skin post.

Toner:

I don’t have many toners that I use. I use about two and I just became introduced to a new one thanks to my sweet curl friend Judy who gifted it to me. below are the toners Ive been using in the last year that have helped.

Urban Skin RX Glycolic Pad: these pads help with hyper pigmentation, acne, oily skin, and removes any excess dirt. These pads do not burn and have proven to help my skin. I believe it also contributed to my acne scars fading.

Bask & Bloom Balancing Toner: This toner comes in clutch for all skin types the aloe makes it to be refreshing. My skin always feels refreshed after using it.

Serums:

I have not used serums in my regimen until my skin started acting up. Now my skin loves it. Here are the serums I used in my video posted to IG

Urban Skin RX Glow serum this serum helps with brightening your skin and gives you this natural glow.

Mielle Organics Pomegranate and Honey Serum: also another serum that helps with hydration and brightening the skin

Urban skin Rx Night Corrector Serum: Ive been using at night for year. Because I have sensitive skin I use it every other day , because it has retinol in it and using it daily was too much for my skin. I use this corrector in the places I have dark spots on my face and chest.

Urban Skin Rx Rapid Night Corrector: I’ve only been using this for two months. I have seen light marks fade within a couple of days. So I will say its lived up to their name.

Moisturizers:

Just like my toners I don’t have a lot of moisturizers. I tend to stick with what works because of my oily skin. I have two moisturizers that have been proven to be clutch in my regimen

Drunk Elephant Protini: I use this moisturizer in the daytime it makes my face smooth and it’s oil free, but still very moisturizing.

Urban Skin RX Hydrabalance: I use this cream at night its oil free and light and I tend to sweat at night. It works great, I do not wake up super greasy.

Last but not least in the daytime you should be wearing sunscreen. I wear sunscreen everyday even if the sun is not out and it’s overcast. While using the night corrector or retinol sunscreen is essential. The correctors will not work efficiently if you’re not protecting your skin from the UV Rays. I. hope this may help all my ladies having problems with oily and acne prone skin.
